Why is the best yet to come?

The fact that you are reading this article proves one thing above all: that not one of the many "end of the world" events has actually taken place. The earth is still turning its orbits, humanity has not been wiped out.

Fears of a sudden or gradual deterioration in living conditions have plagued us since time immemorial. But if you dare to take a closer look, you will see that we are living in much better conditions today than ever before, that prosperity is higher than it has ever been, and that humanity has been on an upward trend for decades, if not centuries: fewer and fewer people are suffering from hunger and the crime rate is falling steadily. Fewer and fewer people are dying as a result of violence. The "acid rain" of the 1980s has turned out to be a spectre, and even the feared catastrophe in the rainforests seems to be a thing of the past.

These are not just fantasies, but facts that can be clearly proven. 15-year-old Felix Finkbeiner, for example, has planted 12.6 billion new trees in the last five years with his organization Plant for the Planet, and he is well on his way to reaching his goal of one trillion trees.

In fact, everything is getting better overall. However, we don't always see it that way. Gregg Easterbrook has written in his book The Progress Paradox about the mental mechanisms at work that make people feel worse even though life is getting better. It is not a question of whether the glass is half empty or half full. It's not about how you look at the glass! The glass really is getting fuller! Many things really have changed for the better and the trend is clear. Even if we look at share prices over the last 100 years, we can see that things have always gone up, even if there have been a few low points in between.

This is how things will continue in this century. I am certain - and I am by no means the only one who is certain! -that we will experience a level of prosperity in this century that we cannot even imagine yet. This is not a fantasy, not a dream, but something that anyone can extrapolate from the facts that are available so far.

Dreams must become reality

In my book The Best is Yet to Come, futurologist Dr. Pero Mićić writes: "Let's look at the whole of life, not just the moment. Then the best is still ahead of us," and Samy Molcho says in his greeting that dreams should not remain dreams. I would even say: they must not remain dreams! We can all help to ensure that life not only gets better, but that more people consciously see that it is getting better! We can all, as individuals and in groups and organizations, take part in promoting prosperity and growth.

If you want to know - and I urge you to take an interest! - then buy the book The Best is Yet to Come or donate €9.26 and read about how people can join forces and shape the future together.

In principle, the book is free, but we ask you to make a donation to the Winspiration Day Association so that we can continue to work on spreading the idea of a new, meaningful consciousness for a better future.

The future is open - we decide what's in it. Work towards a better present and a better future, for yourself and for all people.

Thank you very much!
